Organizes the technical activities (engineering, IT, operations, and supplier) for smaller projects in close coordination with the many stakeholders, including product management, operational departments, outside suppliers, and other IT & network engineers. involvement with operational support systems and technical platforms, including their design, implementation, testing, and rollout. • Contributes to bigger requests for information or proposals and assumes leadership in smaller ones by outlining the functional and technical requirements. oversees certain steps in the vendor selection procedure to guarantee a motivated and successful vendor and product choice. identifies the total cost of ownership for each proposal. • contributes to the technical elements of vendor contracts they include the statement of work, the project plan, and any related professional services. gives the necessary contributions to the technical (engineering) chapter of customer RFPs. • Creates technical documentation, methodologies, and processes for usage by the various operational departments with reference to delivered solutions. arranges for internal departments’ technical training. oversees projects to improve processes. • Is regarded as a reference within his or her purview (subdomain): – Arranges for technical divisions to receive training. – Attends conferences and seminars held by regulatory organizations and standardization groups. – Ensuring appropriate engagement and communication with other teams • Performs/contributes to the mid- to long-term capacity management of his or her subdomain in collaboration with the network architect, ensuring that all systems are proactive and appropriately sized to handle traffic evolutions in accordance with actual and anticipated numbers. • Serves as a technical resource for system and network engineers. outlines best practices and the essential direction for network engineers to take when handling implementation projects.
